Dear LHSD families,
We would like to take this opportunity to share a district update regarding the solar eclipse. After careful consideration, Logan-Hocking Schools will be closed on Monday, April 8.
Our region is estimated to experience near-total darkness during the peak of the eclipse in the afternoon hours. The decision to close school is due to a number of factors including bus safety and transportation concerns, absence management, and the once-in-a-lifetime nature of this experience.
LHSD has purchased special glasses for all students to wear during the eclipse. Students who would like to have a pair of these glasses can pick them up in their school building's office.
