March is youth art month and the art department at Logan-Hocking Middle School is proud to announce our annual state show winners. The 2023 YAM (Youth Art Month) winners are Katelynn Krannitz, Addison Horn, and Isaac McMichael.
The 2023 YPAE (Young People’s Art Exhibition) winners are Brylee Beatty, Alivia Geil, and Isabella Lundy. This will be the first year since Covid that the state shows will be in-person. The state shows will be held at a new location this year too. This year, the state shows will be held at the Kings Art Complex in Columbus on March 11.
Addison Horn and Alivia Geil are 8th graders taught by Roxanna Lehman. Isabella Lundy is a 7th grader, Isaac McMichael is a 6th grader and both students are taught by Heather A. Hacker. Brynlee Beatty is a 5th grader and Katelynn Krannitz is a 6th grader, both students are taught by Suzanne Oldham.
Mrs. Suzanne Oldham also has several students’ artworks participating in the Annual Statehouse Exhibition. This show will open on April 1st and will continue to run until Thursday, April 27th. The students who will have artwork at the Statehouse include: Wyatt Kessler (5th grade), Aubrey Mundy (6th grade), Annamary Foster (6th grade), and Dylan King (6th grade). The Statehouse Exhibition will be held at the Ohio Statehouse 1 Capitol Square in Columbus, Ohio.
