Artsonia is a fundraising website for art teachers. We take pictures of the students' artwork and upload it to the website. From the website, parents and guardians are able to buy products with the student's artwork printed on them. Parents/Guardians are not obligated to buy products, but if products are purchased- part of that money goes back to the art department to continue buying art supplies for our students.
Artsonia also has an "Artist of the Week" competition. Artsonia randomly chooses artwork from different grade levels and has a mass online voting system. When a student has won- Artsonia sends the student a plaque and a $50 gift card to Dick Blick Supplies. The art teacher who taught the student also receives a $100 Dick Blick Supplies gift card.
This week, Mason Davis, won "Artist of the Week". Mason is a 7th grade student at Logan-Hocking Middle School and is taught by Heather Hacker. The project that won "Artist of the Week" was his Dragon Eye. A picture of his artwork is displayed on his plaque.
