Logan-Hocking Middle School is thrilled to announce that three talented students have been recognized as winners in the Freedom’s Never Free Patriotic Poster Contest. The contest, which focused on the theme “What Patriotism means to you” showcased the creativity and artistic talents of young minds from the 5th grade students in Mrs. Oldham’s art class.
Out of the artwork that was submitted, three winners were selected based on votes from the community members who attended. The winning students, including Braylee Marcum (1st place), Alyza Anderson (2nd place), and Harper Snodgrass (3rd place), stood out for their creativity, originality, and ability to convey the contest’s theme. The event, hosted by Freedom’s Never Free, honored veterans, military, first responders, and their families.
When asked about how she felt about her experience participating in the Freedom’s Never Free contest young artist Braylee Marcum said, “Happy! It’s the only time I’ve ever won 1st place!” One of the attendees really was impressed with Braylee’s artwork. He said, “She really captured the spirit of patriotism. Adding the writing and the red, white, and blue trail from the plane was very creative. She just had a nice balance to it.”
LHMS is proud of its students for showcasing their creativity and building meaningful connections with the community through their art. Thank you to the community members who attended and supported our students by casting their votes. The students at LHMS are grateful to the Freedom’s Never Free Organization for this opportunity for our students to share their talents and inspire them to continue to explore their artistic potential.
