7th & 8th Grade Middle School Track & Field Information
1. If you are in other sports this spring/lifting, WE WILL WORK AROUND YOUR
SCHEDULE. You can do multiple sports!
2. Events that you can choose from; Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault,
Shot-Put, Disc, Sprints, Long Distance.
3. Mandatory Parent Meeting, Tuesday February 25th, 6 PM in the MS theatre.
4. Practice starts Monday, March 3rd, after school. Practice is 2:30 to 4.
5. Before the first Practice YOU NEED.
- A Physical- Take a physical form to the doctor with you. You can get one at
school.
- Make an account on Final Forms. If you currently do not have one: Go to the
school website, under “Athletics”, click on Final Forms. Once you have opened
that up, it will say new account. Parents make an account first, then the
students login.

- If you don’t have a physical. You can’t practice!
- If you have questions about this, see Coach Sturgell in the gym!
5. Things you need for practice.
- A good pair of running shoes that are comfortable to move in.
- Athletic clothing that you can move in.
- Warm clothes on colder days.
** Depending on the event you plan on running, you may want to get track spikes
or throwing shoes. Again, this depends on the event the student athlete
chooses to participate in.
6. You will be receiving a calendar from your coaches at the parent meeting.
