Mrs. Gallagan’s STEM Technology students recently competed in an exciting birdhouse design contest, where they not only showcased their creativity but also learned valuable lessons about wildlife habitats. By researching the needs of different bird species, participants gained a deeper understanding of how birdhouses can provide safe and comfortable environments for nesting. Using a 3D CAD program, they designed their birdhouses digitally, refining their technical skills, then were voted on. This hands-on project combined art, technology, and environmental education in a fun and innovative way. The winners had their projects 3D printed and they will be displayed outside of the school.
