The Chief Logan FFA Forestry team placed fourth in state competition at Hocking College, on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Teams were represented from all across Ohio. None of the team members from Logan had ever participated in the event prior to this year. All of the members were new to the contest. They did extremely well!
\tThe team was led by senior Weston Garey, 5th individual in state. He was followed by junior Brenna Schuelp, 19th in state, freshman Wyatt Lambert, 33rd in state, and sophomore, Justin Sudlow Jr, 43rd in state. Brody Kittle, Ashlynn Downs, Heidi Wahl and Tristin Mc Daniel also competed for Logan.
\tThe event tested students on general forestry knowledge, timber cruising, equipment and species ID, forest products, orienteering, and topography maps.
