Dear Families and Staff,
Our administration has been made aware of an anonymous, general threat directed at schools nationwide that is spreading on social media specific to Friday, Dec. 17. Our district families should know we take all threats very seriously, with our students' safety as our top priority.
After close consultation with local law enforcement, we have collectively determined that there has not been any evidence acquired that identifies this threat as specific to our local district. However, we are exercising the utmost caution by continuing to communicate closely with local law enforcement.
This unfortunate, concerning incident impacting districts nationwide is a reminder to talk with your student(s) about the incredibly serious consequences of making any kind of threat on social media, and also what to do if they see or hear something that is threatening. Students are reminded that they should immediately alert a district staff member or law enforcement if they see or hear something concerning.
Thank you for your cooperation
