These projects are from the LHS Performing Arts Primer class, taught by Mrs. Riggs. Students studied the area of Props Design, which are the objects in a play that the actors handle or carry or use. They learned how a props designer creates their design, and executes it using skills such as sculpting, painting, welding, construction, and others. The unit culminated with the creation of prop food items. Each item was researched, with students using photos as reference and then creating their foods using only toilet paper and water. After drying, the students then painted their props to be as realistic as possible.
