Logan-Hocking Families and Staff,

A reminder notification about Hocking Valley Community Hospital’s Chieftain Health Clinic that is now open and available to students and staff at Logan High School campus. The Chieftain Health Clinic is managed and operated by Hocking Valley Community Hospital in partnership with Logan-Hocking Schools and is located as an annex of Logan High School near the Athletic/Chieftain Stadium building entrance.

The Chieftain Health Clinic is staffed by HVCH’s Certified Nurse Practitioner Candice Kilbarger and Medical Assistant Meranda Reed. The Chieftain Health Clinic is not designed to take the place of a primary care physician.  However, the Chieftain Health Clinic is available to serve students & families that are in need of care but may not have a primary healthcare provider or may be unable to schedule an appointment with their provider.

Families may use the Chieftain Health Clinic as they would an Urgent Care or Minute Clinic with the same array of services.  These services include the treatment of acute illnesses such as sore throat, ear infections, and sinus infections as well as helping to manage chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes.  Additionally, the clinic is available to complete athletic/sports physicals, pre-employment physicals, and annual wellness exams.

Parent/guardian consent is required for each visit and all visits will be billed to patient insurance (Medicaid and/or private insurance).  As with any healthcare service, the cost will vary depending on the complexity of visit and the testing and treatment provided.

For more information and details, please visit the Chieftain Health Clinic Website to access student & adult registration packets or to schedule an appointment (740.380.8240).
