LHS Journeys Exhibit at Maya

If you haven’t been down to Maya Burrito lately, make sure you get there before May 16th. Logan High School art students, under the direction of Jeremy McAfee, really pulled out all of the stops for this stunning display of work. This show is an assortment of projects from Art Two, Art Three Advanced and AP 2D Art. The Art Two work is the continual progression of mastery of focused mediums. Much of the work is based on student choice imagery. In Art Three Advanced student work is increasingly focused on storytelling and creating visual narratives. Images are created with the eventual goal of competing in State and National competitions. The 2-D Advance Placement work is part of each student's ongoing senior portfolio. Each AP Student chooses a theme for their senior year and then creates a minimum of 15 artworks to be scored by the College Board. Students may receive a final score of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 on their final portfolios. A score of three or above is needed to earn college credit for this class. The talent of the students displayed in this exhibit is undeniable. Come on and check it out!
