This past weekend, the Logan High School Chamber Singers gathered for their annual retreat, a time for students to deepen their musical skills and strengthen bonds through a variety of team-building activities.

Held at Geneva Hills in Rockbridge, the retreat offered students an exciting mix of events designed to foster camaraderie and collaboration. From “Minute to Win It” games and bubble soccer to laser tag and campfire gatherings, students enjoyed memorable experiences that brought them closer together as a group.

In addition to the fun, the ensemble also took the opportunity to focus on their musical growth. Students rehearsed together and worked with Jace Nguyen, an esteemed arranger of one of their previous pieces. This session provided them with invaluable insights into the creative process, enhancing both their understanding and performance of the work.

The LHS Chamber Singer's annual retreat reflects the district’s commitment to nurturing not only musical talent but also the connections that transform students into a cohesive, inspired team. The community looks forward to seeing these students shine as they take their talents back to the stage on Sunday, December 15, for the high school choirs' annual Winter Festival.
