On December 4th Logan High School Art Students braved the cold morning chill to make downtown a bit more festive. Forty-six art students had the opportunity to spend the day downtown painting approximately a dozen storefront windows. Mrs. Anzalone, the field trip coordinator and Logan High School Art Teacher, collaborated with downtown businesses to arrange a day for students to volunteer for this task.
Senior Paige Magdich stated, “It was a fun experience and was really interesting to see how downtown operates while we are in school all day. I was also really excited to meet The Logan Daily’s cat, Mingo.” Senior Frankie Carrell said, “It was great to see how supportive and welcoming the local businesses were to us.” Senior Cameron McWilliams added, “Thanks to the store owners who let us warm up inside between shifts.”
Additionally, the America in Bloom paintings created by twenty-seven LHS Artists are still on display in the storefront next to Maya Burrito. All of these creations will be on display until the 8th Annual Logan Frozen Festival on January 18, 2025.
