Logan High School biology classes are learning to use microscopes to make their own slides to investigate plant cells. They were specifically working to see the effects of hypertonic solution on red onion cells. Other biology classes were looking at chromosome crossover and recombination. The tough concepts are made clearer with hand-on manipulatives for the biology students.
Biomedical Science students created giant neuron models during the body system unit they were working on.
The AP Environmental Science students produced intricate models of Earth's biomes during the recent Diversity of Life unit.
Aliens swarm a Biology teacher's door. These were drawn and colored by students who were given a DNA to decode, a favorite part of their DNA and Protein Synthesis unity.
