FFA EMBLEM

Monday, March 3: General Livestock and Equine Management online exams were held.  Individuals from Chief Logan FFA were Kaylee Cox, Wyatt Lambert, Lauren Klingelhafer, Olivia Kerns, Justin Sudlow, Lukas West, and Emily Travis for General Livestock, and Natalia Fernandes, Miley Bigham and Jenna Daubenmire for Equine Management.

Friday, March 7: Many FFA members participated in the Southeast FFA Invitational in Agronomy, Equine, Nature Interpretation, Wildlife Management, and Vet Science CDEs. Members enjoyed the fellowship and showing off their skills at the contest. 

The Agronomy team received second as a team in the competition. The Nature Interpretation participant (Jeremiah Bennett) received sixth as a team in the competition. The Vet Science Team received eighth as a team in the competition. And finally, the Wildlife Management Team received third as a team in the competition, with Clayton Hacker placing as the third overall individual. Congratulations to those members!

Saturday, March 8: Members traveled to the Ross County Fairgrounds to compete in the Miami Trace Invitational Contest. Chief Logan members participated in the General Livestock and Wildlife Management CDEs. 

The wildlife management team received eighth in the state. Livestock participants gained knowledge and experience as they prepared to showcase at the state competition.

Saturday, March 22: Members of the Chief Logan FFA traveled to the Ohio State Fairgrounds to participate in the Livestock Judging, Equine Management, and Wildlife CDEs. Participation in an Invitational CDE was needed to compete at this event. Members were challenged, and enjoyed the experience gained. They enjoyed Raising Cane’s for lunch afterwards, and enjoyed fellowship with others. 

The Agronomy team received 20th in the state. Team members included Allison Delong, Eli Stimmel, and Makina Weaver. The Equine Management team received 63rd in the state. Team members included Miley Bigham, Natalia Fernandes, and Saylor Ricketts. The General Livestock Team received 142nd overall. Team members included Olivia Kerns, Lukas West, Lauren Klingelhafer, Kaylee Cox, Wyatt Lambert, and Dave Cosper. Congratulations to all team members!

On Saturday, March 29: The Chief Logan Wildlife Management Team has been actively practicing and studying for this competition; they won first in the district, and eleventh in the state on Saturday at this event. Team members included Clayton Hacker, Eli Stimmel, Cooper Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Kaleb Miller, Jaysea Davis, and Dave Cosper. Clayton Hacker is ranked as the number 13 individual in the state for this competition. 

Chief Logan FFA would like to thank the volunteers, proctors, and chaperones that supported the members throughout their endeavors.
