On Monday, March 20 the Logan-Hocking Local Board of Education
recognized students and community members.
The Logan-Hocking Middle School Girls Track Team was state runner-
up at the State Indoor Track meet on Saturday, March 11th.
Individual Athletic Honors:
Sam Pennington - 3 First Place Finishes in Long Jump, 60 Meter Dash,
and 200 Meter Dash
Ella Hinton - 3rd Place High Jump
Sophie Sater - 3rd Place Pole Vault
Gracen Grow - 4th Place in 60 Meter Hurdles
Carrington Coffill - 8th Place 1600 Meter Run
Kaylen Goss - 8th Place 800 Meter Run
Junior High Boys receiving state indoor honors:
Braxton Mender, Liam West, Carter Brown, and Elias Hembree for their
3rd Place finish in the 4x800 Meter Relay
Logan-Hocking Middle School Spelling Bee Champion, Lydia Moss-
Grade 7, qualified in the Top 51 out of 178 students to compete in the
Regional Spelling Bee at Ohio University on March 25th. The winner of
the Regional Spelling Bee gets to go to the National Spelling Bee in
Washington DC.
Community Organizations Moose and Eagles generously made
donations. The Moose donated $4000 to the musical and the Eagles
donated $1800 to the musical and $5,000 for the Winter Sports Chieftain
Unity Shirts.
