Columbus – As part of a month-long celebration of the arts and arts education, Wyatt Kessler, Annamary Foster, Dylan King, and Aubrey Mundy produced artwork that has been selected for the 2023 Statehouse Student Exhibition. The Ohio Art Education Association joined with the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, and Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board to mount a student exhibition to recognize the talents, creativity, and innovation of students who receive high quality arts education instruction as part of their academic experience in school. The featured students attend Logan-Hocking Middle School and are under the instruction of visual arts teacher Mrs. Oldham. The Middle School was honored to have Ohio State Representative Mark Johnson and his wife Kelli Johnson who serves as the Southeast Ohio District Director for Senator JD Vance visit their building on Monday to issue proclamations to the four students. The exhibition hosts forty works of art featuring students in grades K-12 in Ohio’s public schools. Please visit the exhibit which will be open to the public at the Ohio Statehouse during regular business hours April 1-27, 2023.
