Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Middle and High School FCCLA members were recognized and awarded at the 2023 FCCLA Banquet Friday, May 12th, at Logan High School.

Outstanding Middle School FCCLA Members were; Faith Austin, Davianna Hamilton, Kevin Meeks, Katelynn Juliana Turner, Kassidy Claud, Viola Winner, Colin Kittle, Ella and Emma HInton.

Each was presented with a certificate to recognize their Power-Of-One State and National Individual Award. 

Logan High FCCLA had an awesome year for their overall achievements: 

The Ohio FCCLA Endowment was established to support the Ohio Family, Career and Community Leaders of America programming. It offers 10, $500 scholarships to deserving high school seniors each year. 

The Paulette Farago Honorary Scholarship is granted to a member who exemplifies dedication to Ohio FCCLA through outstanding leadership activities. This year, this scholarship was awarded on stage at the Ohio FCCLA State Leadership Conference to Olivia Rayburn. 

The Adel Riegel Scholarship is granted to a member majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education who exhibits outstanding leadership qualities. This year, this scholarship was awarded on stage at the Ohio FCCLA State Leadership Conference to Sarah Leon. 

The Ohio Association of Family and Consumer Sciences awarded Sarah Leon with a $500 scholarship for her commitment to pursue a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

Outstanding High School FCCLA Members for their Power of One is an individual National Program were; Kylie Arnett, Mira Burns, and Olivia Rayburn.

Families Acting For Community Traffic Safety is a National FCCLA peer education program in which students strive to save lives through personal, vehicle and road safety. Logan High School Paige Fuller and Miranda Kelly worked closely with administrators, Officer Campbell, and the Ohio Highway State Patrol to inform students in grades 11 and 12 the dangers of driving distracted. Paige Fuller and Miranda Kelly placed in the  top 10 at the State Leadership Conference. The top 10 in the state will receive an additional $2,500 cash award to continue their project goals.

Community Service-Learning individual Platinum (100 plus service hours) level was earned by the following students Mira Burns, Sarah Leon and Olivia Rayburn. 

Kylie Arnett participated in Fashion Construction by creating a formal evening gown, earning Silver at both regional and state levels.

Mira Burns participated in Career Investigation by volunteering at a local Hospital so she could better prepare herself for her intended field of study after high school. Mira earned Gold regionals..

Olivia Rayburn helped create an event that enabled students in our district to "shop" for free dresses, beauty supplies, shoes, accessories, and hygiene items. This event created a positive atmosphere for high school students in our community and enabled every student to get a head start on their prom plans. At the regional level, she earned Bronze. At the state level, she earned Silver.
