Chalk Pastel Seed Pods

This Friday, March 1st, the Logan-Hocking Middle School annual SEEDLINGS art exhibit will open at Bowen House with a reception from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The community is invited to attend along with the artists, their families, and their visual arts teachers.

Seedlings opens the Spring student art exhibit season each year and once again, Bowen House is filled with color and creativity.  Seedlings is the oldest, consecutive offering of the Logan-Hocking School District art exhibits and showcases the work of students in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 in painting, drawing, print, collage, mixed media, sculpture, and ceramics.

The visual arts department consisting of Mrs. Hacker, Mrs. Lehman, and Mrs. Oldham work with their students to kick off National Youth Art Month each year with SEEDLINGS.  This is followed up with more opportunities to create exciting art, daily quotes from famous artists shared on the LHMS announcements, visits from guests to repeatedly visit the show throughout it’s exhibition run at the Bowen House, and lots more fun!

The show will then remain open to the public during regular Bowen House hours on Thursdays through Saturdays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  SEEDLINGS will close on March 23rd to make room for the

Logan High School show, so be sure to visit the Bowen House, located at 196 North Market Street, soon and often to take advantage of this once a year opportunity.
