This Saturday, the 44th Annual Youth Art Month and Young People’s Art Exhibition, sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association will be held at the King Arts Complex in Columbus, Ohio.  There are eight regions in Ohio representing the OAEA, and this year’s show includes 118 student artworks from all over the state.  Ten of those works were created by students from our own Logan-Hocking School District!

Visual Art continues to play a critical role in students' social and emotional learning as well as in the development of problem solving and critical thinking skills. Youth Art Month festivities help to highlight the innovative work of both students and educators.  Creative works from Ohio art students in grades K through 8 will be on display at The King Arts Complex in Columbus again this year. This multimedia exhibit, sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association, highlights Youth Art Month which is a national celebration sponsored by The Council for Art Education. The annual celebration, which typically takes place in March, emphasizes the value of art education for all children and encourages support for quality art programs in Ohio schools.

The Visual Arts Teachers of the Logan-Hocking School District are exceptionally proud of our amazing students and their fantastic artwork.  We also would like to thank our Logan-Hocking School Board and our Administrators for their continued investment and support of the Visual Arts in our students and our community.  Go Chiefs!
