The Perceptions Art Exhibition is being held on the 2nd floor of the Logan Theater located at 84 E. Main St. The opening reception will be held Saturday April 27th from 2-4 p.m. Logan-Hocking Middle School student artwork featured in this exhibition is from the second half of the school year and includes drawing, painting, watercolor, pastel, collage, mixed media, and ceramics. Light refreshments will be provided. The show runs through May 11th. Additional exhibition hours are Saturday May 4th and May 11th from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m.
The Urban AirⓇ “Wake Up Downtown”Ⓡ Event will take place on the streets of downtown Logan from May 2nd through the 4th. Students currently in 5th and 6th grade art at Logan-Hocking Middle School are participating in the art competition sponsored by the Urban AirⓇ organization. The drawings will be displayed in storefront windows downtown from April 25th through May 3rd. The public is invited to come to the shops and vote on their favorite entry. Vote in person inside or with the QR code posted on the window. The drawing with the most votes will be awarded the People’s Choice Award. A panel of professional artists will judge the top entries and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. All winners will be announced at the Worthington Gazebo on Saturday, May 4th at 5 p.m.
In 2023 Airstream employees chose 14 of these drawings to hang in their lobby. We are honored that Logan-Hocking Middle School students have been invited to show their work at Airstream again. Student artwork from the Urban AirⓇ event will be displayed at the Airstream World Headquarters in Jackson Center, Ohio until June 30th.
