Congratulations to Brooke Perry, 5th grader at Logan-Hocking Middle School for claiming the LHMS Spelling Bee Champion Title on Tuesday night. Brooke beat out 31 other spellers that were competing for the title. Brooke won the spelling bee after 36 rounds and beat out runner-up Allie Barrell, 8th grader at LHMS. Brooke correctly spelled the championship word, barista, to claim the title. Brooke will now have the oppor
tunity to compete in the Regional Spelling Bee at Ohio University in March to try to make her way to the National Spelling Bee in Washington DC this summer.
