Logan-Hocking Middle
Submitted by: Chad Grow', "Logan-Hocking Middle School had the opportunity to have Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted visit on Wednesday, September 29th. The LG was visiting the area and stopped by to speak to a group of 8th grade students in Mrs. Shaw's Transitions and Careers Class. Class Officers of the LHMS FCCLA(Family, Career, Community Leaders of America)greeted Mr. Husted when he arrived. LG Husted spoke with students about opportunities after high school and the great opportunities that are offered at Career Centers. He talked about technical careers and trades that require less post secondary education than traditional college and the abundance of job opportunities that are available in those various fields. He reminded students to find something that they enjoy and make a career out of it. He told students that the opportunities that are available for 8th graders are endless. It was a great honor having LG Husted visit LHMS and it was a great opportunity for our students.
