“We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.” – David Warlick

Initiative
Logan-Hocking's 1 to 1 Vision
The Logan-Hocking School District believes that every student and staff member needs to achieve technological competence and information literacy. This includes an awareness of how technology and information resources are applied in society and how the proficient use will enhance life-long learning. Technology must provide enhancements to the teaching/learning process that will result in increased student achievement.
Logan-Hocking's 1 to 1 Mission
Logan-Hocking students will use technology as a tool to enhance their ability to learn, selecting the appropriate technology for the task.
Students will be able to search, access and assess information, working with technology confidently and capably.
Students will develop skills that will enable them to learn throughout their lives, including the ability to share the information and knowledge acquired in written, oral and multimedia formats.
Logan-Hocking instructional staff members will integrate technology with the curriculum, using it as a tool to enhance teaching, as a means of instruction and a learning resource.
All staff members will use technology confidently and capably within the realm of their respective positions for communication, administrative tasks and the fulfillment of their duties.
Improving learning through technology requires leadership which fosters and builds the capacity for change, teacher proficiency, appropriate instructional design, updated curriculum, along with access to appropriate computer equipment, effective program resources and a powerful network.
